Too many people sit on the sidelines waiting for someone else to make their lives happen. Life happens when you make it happen. Love happens when your lifestyle makes you interesting and lovable because of what you bring to the party. If you’re bored, the person who could make life interesting for you isn’t going to stop to entertain you because he is looking for someone who is as interesting as he is! We attract what we are and what we think we deserve. That can be good; that can be bad. Take the “l’s” out of loneliness and you’re left with “one-i-ness.” Look past yourself and start giving away the love you already have—for others and for life.
Let me put it on the line: Get over yourself. Life is bigger than you. Love is not just about what you get out of it. It’s about what you’re willing to give to others…and not just to someone you might be interested in loving. Get involved with everyone God makes available in your world right now—keeping it healthy, of course.
